2. Brief Introduction to the Project
This project will bring into full play of the driving effect of “National Agriculture Industrialization Key Leading Enterprise” and import fine breeding pigs from abroad. Under the industrial pattern of “company and production bases and farmers”, the company will “provide the farmers with binary sows and ternary young pigs, epidemic prevention and feedstuff uniformly and take charge of the administration and purchase of the products uniformly” so as to develop safe and nuisance-free products of pork and promote the farmers breeding pigs in the production base. Through constructing modern production lines for the butchering and processing of the live pigs and the corresponding distribution network, the problem of “live pigs unsalable ”of the local farmers will be solved and the developing pattern of live pigs industrialization will be formed in this area. It is such a project with a moderate scale, mature techniques, a practicable program and proper administration and organization. The construction of this project is of great significance for speeding up the pace of adjustment of regional agricultural industrial structure and promoting the development of livestock farming in Shaanxi province.
This project will be constructed in Pucheng County which lies in the northeast of Guanzhong Plain and the center of Weinan City, with 14 towns and 10 rural townships inside and a total population of 750 thousand and a suitable climate for pigs breeding in China. There are 110 thousand live pigs on hand all over the county and the farmers have the tradition of breeding pigs. However, because of the motley breeds of pigs and low benefit, there are few farmers with a large scale of breeding. Without a broad market, the amount of breeding is greatly influenced by the fluctuation of the market. Therefore, this project will develop well and achieve a fine economic performance after its construction.
This project intends to cover an area of 500 acres and construct 2 pigpens for breeding boars, 18 for hybridization and pregnancy, 18 for childbirth and lactation, 18 for raising young pigs and 15 for growing and fattening, with 350 fine pure breed pigs and 1,500 binary hybridization sows.
The hogpen for 10 thousand fine breed pigs to be constructed will turn off 18 thousand high-quality “ternary hybridization” commodity pigs and provide the breeding bases with 1500 “binary” hybridization sows and 15 thousand fine “ternary hybridization” commodity young pigs annually. This project will also build a production line for butchering 300 live pigs daily and a refrigeratory, which will butcher and process 100 thousand live pigs annually. Thus the problem of selling the fattening pigs will be solved with the level of the products boosted and the performance advanced.

3. Investment of the Project
Total investment of this project is RMB 62.8495 million Yuan, of which the fixed assets are RMB 35.4535 million Yuan and the initial and working capital is RMB 27.396 million Yuan

4. Economic and Social Effects of the Project
After the breeding center for 10 thousand fine breed pigs, the cultivation base and the production line for butchering and processing are constructed and put into production, they will achieve a production value of RMB 79.99 million Yuan and an total profit and tax of RMB 10.9638 million Yuan annually. Except maintaining its own production, it will provide the breeding base with 1,500 binary fine breed sows and 15,000 ternary young pigs, promoting 6,000-10,000 farmers developing pigs breeding in the base with an annual net income of RMB 7.65 million Yuan and RMB 765-1280 Yuan each as an addition. This project will butcher and process 100 thousand live pigs annually and promote 10,000 farmers developing pigs breeding with total income increase of RMB 9.35 million Yuan and RMB 935 Yuan each. It will establish the foundation of green products for solving the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers that the Chinese government is facing and for construction of the terminal distribution network of livestock products. This project will also set up the famous brand of terminal retail of livestock products and promote the development of the breeding base and processing of livestock so as to make due contribution as a leading enterprise.
